Itinerary -
DAY 1 : Arrive Kigali
On arrival at the Kigali airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel by local representative. Today you will have a relaxed
evening recovering from your journey to Rwanda - the land of a thousand hills as it is famously known.
Overnightat the hotel in Kigali. (L & D)
DAY 2 : Kigali
Proceed to enjoy city tour that offers you an authentic outlook of Kigali over some of the "thousand hills." Kigali is the capital city
of Rwanda and the country's vibrant commercial center with an all year round moderate climate. Kigali is one ofthe cleanest and
safest of Africa's cities attracting numerous visitors and investors. This city tour will bring us to explore most of the iconic
attractions like Kandt house, presidential museum, Kigali genocide memorial etc. Overnight at the hotel in Kigali. (B, L & D)
DAY 3 : Kigali - Kayonza (Approx 92 Kms / 2 hrs)
Take a tour of Nyamata Genocide Memorial and Ntarama genocide memorial center to learn more about the massacre of
thousands of people in the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. Both of these locations where previously catholic churches where hundreds of
people went to seek protection. Later proceed to Kayonza town for overnight. Overnight at the hotel in Kayonza. (B, L & D)
DAY 4 : Community Experience
Eastern Rwanda is relatively flatter than most of the country and preferred by the pastoralists. We shall visit a homestead who are
cattle keepers and engage in the different activities that are centered around `the cow" as a source of livelihood for the family and
community at large. Today we start early morning with the milking adventure directly with hands. The herdsman will guide you on
how to soothe the cow and manage to milk it. After the session, you set the cows for the days grazing. You will also have lessons
on how milk is traditionally converted into different products like ghee and yoghurt locally. You will have an opportunity to make a
meal and taste it with ghee. Overnight at the hotel in Kayonza. (B, L & D)
DAY 5 : Kayonza - Volcanoes National Park
Proceed to Volcanoes National Park from the community experience. We have views of Lake Kivu with its many Islands on our way
to volcanoes national park. Enjoy the winding roads and scenery along the way which explains why its known as the 'land of
a thousand hills'. Overnight at the hotel in Volcanoes National Park (Ruhengeri). (B, L & D)
DAY 6 : Gorilla Trekking
This morning have an early breakfast and transfer to the gorilla briefings spot at the park headquarters. After that experience, we
drive to the start of the gorilla trekking point. This experience in the wild is like no other and certainly one youwill rememberthe rest
of your life. Overnight at the hotel in Volcanoes National Park (Ruhengeri). (B, L & D)
DAY 7 : Rwanda Cultural Experiences
Leave for the community to spend the entire day in exploring the culture and daily lives of the people. Enjoy a traditional dance
performed by a local group and community activities like making traditional beer and local cuisines. Overnight at thehotel in
Volcanoes National Park (Ruhengeri). (B, L & D)
DAY 8 : Depart Volcanoes National Park (Ruhengeri)
This morning you will be transferred to Kigali airport to board your flight back home or to your next destination. (B & L)

About The Place:
Rwanda is a landlocked East African country with a green, mountainous landscape. Its renowned Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes. In the southwest is Nyungwe National Park, with ancient montane rainforest that's a habitat for chimpanzees and other primates.
