Assembling near the Town Hall at around 9:30 am, this walking tour heads toward the Mysore Palace. A testimony of city’s timeless era, it is also known as the Amba Vilas Palace and is the official residence of the Wodeyar dynasty. Following this, visit the Jayalakhsmi Vilas Mansion. Standing tall on a hilltop, this grand building now houses a museum with ageless collection of artefacts and other royal belongings.
The Lalitha Mahal, once the royal residence of the Viceroy of India, will be the next on the itinerary. Painted in elegant white colour, this palace has now been converted into a heritage hotel under the flagship of Ashok Group of Hotels. Post this, visit the Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA). One of the prominent institute for learning drawing, photography and photo-journalism, graphics and several other courses, it was started by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV in 1906. With this, the walking tour will come to an end.
