Itinerary -

DAY 1 : Arrive Entebbe - Kampala (Approx 45 Kms / 1 hr 20 mins)

On arrival at the Entebbe airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel in Kampala by a local representative. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Kampala. (L & D)


DAY 2 : Kampala - Bwindi (Approx 470 Kms / 8 hrs 40 mins)

Today start your journey to the gentle giants of Bwindi - the rare mountain gorillas. The trip by road takes a day's journey with stopovers for lunch and stretching. Feel free to stop for various scenery and photography moments. Arrive at your lodge later in the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Bwindi. (B, L & D)


DAY 3 : Gorilla Tracking Experience

Mountain gorillas in Bwindi nest in different place every night. You will be transferred  to the briefing point where you will be divided into different groups to track different gorilla families. The ranger guide will share information on how you are expected to behave while in the jungle and once you locate the gorillas. The whole experience can take anything from 1 hours to several hours in search of the gorilla - you are permitted one hour with the gorillas once you locate them. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Bwindi. (B, L & D)


DAY 4 : Bwindi Batwa Trail - Kabale (Approx 73 Kms / 2 hrs 20 mins)

Today proceed to enjoy the Batwa Trail. The Batwa are an indigenous tribe that lived in the forest and depended on it for livelihood, as they were hunter-gatherers. You will have an opportunity to experience their life in the forest with the Batwa guides sharing with you their life and in turn earning an income for themselves and their families. Post lunch leave for the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi with great sights and a hike. Overnight at the hotel in Kabale. (B, L & D)


DAY 5 : Kabale - Mbarara (Approx 141 Kms / 2 hrs 15 mins)

Lake Bunyonyi has 29 island with amazing stories surrounding these islands. We will take a tour of some of the islands and learn about the folk tales surrounding their existence and formation. After an early lunch on one of the Islands, leave for Mbarara. On arrival in Mbarara stay with a family and take part in community experiences. Overnight at the homestead in Mbarara. (B, L & D)


DAY 6 : Traditional Homestead Experiences

The homestead has main activity as farming especially of the Ankole cows but also engages in subsistence farming. The morning starts before daybreak with milking the long horned Ankole cows. You may join the herdsmen as they go to the field to graze the cows otherwise take a village walk getting a glimpse in the lifestyle of these people, food, and other native habits. You may also choose to visit a local school. Overnight at the homestead in Mbarara. (B, L & D)


DAY 7 : Mbarara - Lake Mburo National Park (Approx 75 Kms / 1 hr 35 mins)

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park the last stopover on this safari. Arrive in time for an afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo - where you are likely to see Hippos, Crocodiles, Zebras, and Buffaloes. Overnight at the hotel in Lake Mburo National Park. (B, L & D)


DAY 8 : Depart Lake Mburo National Park

This morning enjoy a morning game drive in the National Park. Have a stopover at Equator for lunch and souvenir shopping. Later you will be transferred to Kampala/Entebbe airport to board your flight back home or to your next destination. (B & L)
