Day 1:AUCKLAND
On arrival in Auckland,’ The City of Sails', you will be met by our local representative for transfer to your hotel. Auckland-City inspires both her inhabitants and her visitors with staggering location mild climate and wealth of thing to see and do. Evening at leisure.
Day 2:AUCKLAND
Morning depart for City tour of Auckland with Sky Tower entry. Afternoon free to explore city on your own. Enjoy Ride up to SKY tower at your Leisure. Day 3:ROTORUA: (Auckland to Waitomo caves, 200Kms 3hrs, Waitomo caves to Rotorua, 160Kms 2hrs 30min)
Early Morning depart for Rotorua by Coach. Enroute take tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves including an underground boat ride viewing the millions of glow worms on the cavern roof. Later proceed to Rotorua transfer to Hotel. Rotorua-Breathe in the Sulphur-rich air of Rotorua and you will taste New Zealand‘s most dynamic thermal area with Spurting geysers, steaming hot springs and exploding mud pools. Afternoon depart for private sightseeing including Zydro Wet Ride where you can run, tumble or slide inside as the Zorb hurtles down the hill. Also visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers and then visit Agro venture rides where you have option to Pick Any two activities. Day 4:ROTORUA
After breakfast depart for Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm tour where you can visit remnants of the original Hobbiton village set from The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy in a fascinating two-hour guided tour. There are spectacular views across to the Kaimai Ranges from the rolling green hills of the movie set, which is still a working sheep and beef farm.
Day 5:ROTORUA- CHRISTCHURCH
After breakfast depart for your flight to Christchurch- With picturesque Avon river, a Grand Anglican cathedral rising above the city center, trams rattling past streets, manicured gardens and crisply cut lawns is most English city of New Zealand. Evening at leisure, you can opt as an optional activity- International Antarctic Center.
Day 6:CHRISTCHURCH – KAIKOURA DAY TRIP : ( 183 kms, approx 2 and half hours)
After Breakfast Travel through the rural pastoral scenes of North Canterbury to Kaikoura 'where the mountains meet the sea'. We are going to Kaikoura for whale watching. Here you will Discover how a Sperm Whale survives in the dark and freezing depths of the Kaikoura Canyon or why the green-eyed Plunket Shark is easy prey for a Giant Squid. These animations are a world first for the whale watching industry.
Day 7:CHRISTCHURCH- LAKE TEKAPO: ( 226 Kms, approx 3 hours)
Morning depart for Lake Tekapo, The Mount Cook Wanderer begins it's journey crossing the Canterbury Plains which is the largest area of flat land in New Zealand. From here we climb the foothills of the Southern Alps into the Mac Kenzie Basin. At Lake Tekapo pause briefly to view the 'Church of the Good Shepherd' nestled on the lakeshore. Day 10:QUEENSTOWN
Morning depart for Half day Queenstown Highlight tour covering Bungy jumping site Arrow town, Gibbston valley tour, Queenstown hill view point. Early morning depart for Full day tour to Milford Sound. Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Return to Queenstown.
Day 12:QUEENSTOWN
Day free for leisure. Day 14:WANAKA
Afternoon depart for Mou Waho Island Lake Wanaka Cruise & Nature Walk. Lying close to the centre of Lake Wanaka is Mou Waho Island Nature Reserve, a unique glacial remnant of the last ice age. The island is also the historic site of early shipbuilding and has remnants of a stone wharf. Cross the lake in our 8 metre boat and disembark on the island for a guided nature walk. Day 15:WANAKA - FRANZ JOSEPH: (287 kms, 3 and half hours approx)
After departing Wanaka, follow the shore of Lake Hawea through to Makarora. From here you are on the Haast Road which follows the ancient Maori trail to the West Coast. From the Haast Township the scenery changes as you pass through small settlements and lakes full of Trout and Salmon. Once you reach Fox Glacier it is only another 25 minutes to your destination Franz Josef Glacier where your hotel is located. The train crosses the huge and fertile farmlands of the Canterbury Plains, winds its way over massive viaducts, through spectacular river gorges and the stunning Waimakariri River valley.
