Day 01: Arrive Mumbai (Previously known as Bombay)
On arrival in Mumbai, meet our representative who will transfer you to a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Mumbai
Post breakfast, go for full day city tour of Mumbai. Today, you will visit Gateway of India, Towers of Silence, Marine Drive, Colaba Causeway, Dhobi Ghat, Kamla Nehru Park, Mani Bhawan, Crawford Market. Dinner and overnight stay at the Mumbai hotel.
Day 03: Mumbai - Aurangabad (train)
Post breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to railway station to board a train to Aurangabad. On arrival at Aurangabad, meet our representatives, who will further transfer you to a hotel. In the afternoon, visit tourists attractions like Daulatabad Fort, Bibi-Ka-Muqbara, and Aurangabad Caves. Dinner and overnight stay at the Aurangabad hotel.
Day 04: Aurangabad - Ellora Caves - Aurangabad
Post breakfast at the hotel, you will go for a trip to Ellora Caves. Dinner and overnight stay at the Aurangabad hotel.
Day 05: Aurangabad - Jalgaon - Bhopal
Today, you will drive to Ajanta caves, which is approximately 100 km from Aurangabad. In the afternoon, drive to Jalgaon. On arrival at Jalgoan, you will be transferred to a railway station from where you will take a train to Bhopal. Dinner and overnight stay at the Bhopal hotel.
Day 06: Bhopal - Agra (train)
After enjoying a tasty breakfast at the hotel, proceed to visit Sanchi Stupa, where you will find a group of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the railway station to catch a train to Agra. On arrival at Agra check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Agra hotel.
Day 07: Agra - Varanasi
Visit the Taj Mahal and then go for a trip to Agra Fort. In the evening, you will be transferred to the railway station to board a train for Varanasi.
Day 08: Varanasi
Upon arrival at Varanasi, meet our representatives, who will further transfer you to a hotel. Later proceed to visit Sarnath. In the afternoon proceed for the city tour visit Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, and Tulsi Manas Temple. In the evening view "Aarti" ceremony on the Ghats. Overnight stay at the Varanasi hotel.
Day 09: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
Early morning, go for a boat cruise at the river Ganges and then drive back to the hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast, drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival at Bodhgaya check-in at the hotel. Later, you will visit Mahabodhi Temple, and Bodhi Tree, which is situated in the premises of the temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the Bodhgaya hotel.
Day 10: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda - Patna
Today, make a point to indulge in a hearty breakfast as you will be traveling to Patna by car. During the four hour journey, you will enjoy a stopover at the Nalanda University, Rajgir (Vulture Peak) and Saptparni caves. Dinner and overnight stay at Patna.
Day 11: Patna - Kushinagar
After breakfast in the morning, drive to Kushinagar. En-route, visit Vaishali, where Lord Buddha preached his last sermon. Also, you will see the Ashok Pillar, which was erected by Emperor Ashok to commemorate the spot of the last sermon. On arrival in Kushinagar check-in at the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 12: Kushinagar - Lumbini
Today, in the first half, you will explore Kushinagar, an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination where Lord Buddha attained Parinirvana or final Nirvana. Also, visit ancient stupas and modern temples, commemorating the Buddha's death and cremation. Visit the spectacular reclining Buddha Statue. Enjoy a night stay at the hotel in Kushinagar. Later continue drive to Lumbini. On arrival at Lumbini check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13: Lumbini – Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to airport to connect flight to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu meeting and assistance followed by transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14: Kathmandu
Post breakfast at the hotel, proceed for city tour to Kathmandu Pashupatinath Temple (the most sacred of the Hindu temples), Swayambhunath (oldest Buddhist shrine), and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Also you will go for a sightseeing tour of the Patan - a city of architecture and fine arts. In the evening, you will be visiting the Tibetan Handicraft Centre at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving.
Day 15: Kathmandu Depart
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.

Spiritual Tour on the Footsteps of Lord Buddha
From the birthplace (Lumbini) to the place where he attained enlightenment (Bodh Gaya ) to the pilgrimage center where he attained Parinirvana after his death (Kushinagar), a visit to all the important places related to Gautam Buddha is included in this itinerary called 'Footsteps of Lord Buddha.' This fully guided 15 days tour will take you to revered Buddhist shrines that are spread across India and Nepal.
Your tour will begin from Maharashtra, where you will be visiting Ellora Caves and Ajanta Caves, archeological sites where you can find many rock-cut Buddhist monuments and monasteries. Leaving Maharashtra, you will proceed to Bhopal to visit the Sanchi Stupa, a rounded hill topped with some of India’s oldest Buddhist structures. Moving further, you will visit Agra to see Taj Mahal; and then Varanasi to visit the Bodh Gaya, where you can find the Bodhi tree, the spot where Buddha meditated to attain enlightenment. From Bodh Gaya, you will embark on a journey to Patna by enjoying a stopover Rajgir and Nalanda, some of the important places from Buddha's life. From Patna, embark on a drive to Kushinagar via Vaishali, an ancient city where Gautama Buddha preached his last sermon before his death. When in Vaishali, make a point to visit Pillars of Ashoka.
Going further, you will visit Kushinagar, the site where Buddhist followers believe that Gautama Buddha attained Parinirvana after his death as here they can see the Parinirvana Stupa, 6.10 meters long statue that represent dying Buddha. Kushinagar will also be our last destination in India. Further, you will visit Lumbini, a heritage site where one of the history’s greatest and most revered figures, Siddhartha Gautama, was born. The places hold a huge significance for the Buddist pilgrimages from around. From Lumbini, you will be catching a flight to reach Kathmandu, which will also be the last destination of our tour package. When in Kathmandu, you will be visiting a couple of Hindu and Buddhism shrine. From Kathmandu, you will board a flight for your journey onwards. In short, this tour will take you to the all the main pilgrimage sites that mark Buddha’s life.
